Ingredients: (makes 7-8)
- 1 and 1/2 cup Whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup All purpose flour
- 2 tsp of active dry Yeast
- 1/4 cup Sesame seeds (toasted)
- 1 and 1/4 cup Lukewarm water
- Milk for glazing
- Salt to taste
Method:
In bowl add yeast with warm water and sugar, leave to dissolve for 6-8 minutes. In a large bowl mix all the flours.
Make the well and pour this yest water.
Stir from the centre, incorporate the flour well so that you get a rough dough.
Transfer the dough on the floured surface.
Knead, push the dough away from you with the palm of yours hand, then fold it towards you and push it way again. Repeat this until dough gets elastic and smooth.
Oil the bowl and leave the dough in a warm place for about 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours. Keep this dough at warm place and cover with plastic warp/ bag until doubled in volume.
Grease the cake tin. Punch the dough and knead a bit. Divide dough into balls and sprinkle sesame seeds over it.
Leave it in a warm place till they raise above rim of the tin. (around 1/2 hr or so leave it in a warm place and cover with plastic warp/ bag)
Before baking brush the loaf with milk and oil.
Bake at 425 F for 15-20 minutes or until brown on outside and bottom and soft inside.
This can be eaten with Pav Bhaji
